Abner G. Fisher, age 74, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Duke Hospital in North Carolina. He was born June 16, 1946, in Dinwiddie Virginia, to Abner Mitchell and Elnora (Anderson) Fisher. He married loving wife, Betty Lou Christopher on July 31, 1964. AG worked in tobacco and manufacturing, moving into management and director roles. He went on to own and operate a Tobacco Company in South Boston, Virginia. After retiring, he continued a consulting business for many years. AG is highly regarded in his industry and has made his family proud both professionally and personally. He was a man of his word. He believed a handshake meant something and he was proud of where he came from. He has proven to be a good friend, helping others in their time of need. AG is survived by his children, son Christopher Fisher; daughter, Laura Ellis; grandchildren, Wendy Honeycutt (Kristopher Honeycutt), Casey Ellis, Ashlyn Fisher, and Aiden Fisher; great grandchildren, Madelyn “Kennedy” Honeycutt, Cayleigh Bateman, Eli Bateman; sisters, Patricia “Patsy” Christopher, Emma “Betty” Coleman (Leonard Coleman), Claiborne Fisher (Linda Fisher); and special friend of ten years, Marquitta Christopher. He is loved by many and his legacy will live for years to come. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
