Annie Lee Davis Bowen

Beloved wife and mother, Ann passed away on July 11, 2020. Born October 3, 1927, Ann was the daughter of McClellan and Bettie Davis of Alberta, Virginia. She was married to her devoted husband, Willie Lee Bowen, Jr (Bill) for fifty-eight years. Together they raised a son, Bobbie Glenn Bowen and a daughter, Ava Ruth Bowen in a home that they built from the land. Karen, Debbie, and Jim Winn joined their family in 1972. Ann is blessed with two granddaughters, Erin Sarduy, and Sarah Moore and six great-grandchildren, Gavin and Josiah Sarduy, Kaleb Eaker, Lydia and Naomi Posey, and Justice Nelson. Ann is predeceased by her husband, Bill, brothers, Richard, Howard, and Ott Davis, sister, Jane Paige, and Debbie Winn. She is survived by her sister, Emily Steed and sisters-in-law Betty Davis, Jean Davis, and Polly Clary. A longstanding member of Trinity St-Marks Episcopal Church, Ann enjoyed spending time with her church members, her family, and friends. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, and sewing, especially handmade quilts. Visitation with the family will be held at Williams Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18 at 1:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm with interment at Crestview Memorial Park. We ask that everyone attending practice safety measures due to the Corona Virus. Please wear a face mask, use hand sanitizer, and stay at least 6 feet apart at all times. The Bowen Family asks that Donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Annie Lee Davis Bowen.
