Annie Marie Trent

Annie Marie Trent, age 91, of Emporia, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022.She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Blanche Norwood Phillips; her first husband, Robert Henry Pettway; her second husband, Bernard Lee Trent; son-in-law, Lee Powers; and four brothers, Marvin Phillips (Frances), Lawrence Phillips (Inez), Parker Phillips, and Garmon Phillips. Mrs. Trent loved to work in her garden and sit outside on her swing, but most of all, she loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Powers and Patricia Grizzard (Bert); grandchildren, Justin Barnes, Amanda Barnes, Brian Powers (Ginger), Jonathan Powers, Nathan Powers, Michael Grizzard, and Taylor Grizzard; great-grandchildren, Joshua Powers, Destiny Sexton, Kaylee Powers, and Kara Clewis; sisters-in-law, Shirley Phillips and Barbara Phillips, one niece and several nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory of Lawrenceville, VA.
