Audrey Mitchell Owens Duke

Audrey Mitchell Owens Duke, age 94, of Skippers, Virginia passed away May 15, 2022.She is the daughter of the late G.J. and Mary Mitchell and is preceded in death by husbands, Thomas W. Owens and Richard Thomas Duke; and two sons, Roy E. Owens and Donald T. Owens. She is survived by three children, Judith O. Parrish and husband George, James C. “Jimbo” Owens and John R. Owens and wife Ann; her daughter-in-law, Sue Owens; six grandchildren, Steve Owens, Lane Driver (Robert), John T. Owens (Stephanie), Kristina Owens (Ceildihe), Leigh Ann Griles (Bobby) and Brad Owens (Erin); fourteen great grandchildren; her brother, James N. Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Spring United Methodist Church in Skippers, VA. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring United Methodist Church c/o Tina Dickens, 1901 Spring Church Rd., Skippers, VA 23879.
