Barbara Dale Tynes Parrish August 3, 1945 - August 3, 2021Barbara Dale Tynes Parrish was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 3, 1945 and entered her eternal home on August 3, 2021 at the age of 76. She is preceded in death by parents Robert B. Tynes, Jr. and Dale Boswell Moseley (Tynes). She is survived by her husband Harold Gray Parrish, son Claude Vernon Bishop, III (Tripp), daughters Dana Bishop Lockett, Elizabeth Tate Leemon, and Cameron Boswell Leemon and by grandchildren Makenzie Leemon, Mary Ryann Clary, Ashton Clary, Emmerson (Emmi) Bishop, Brady Bishop, Harper Bishop, Lucas Antic and Christina Moore. Barbara Dale grew up in Lawrenceville, Virginia and attended Brunswick County High School. She went on to study at Mary Washington College where she received her degree in teaching. Barbara Dale dedicated 30 years to teaching in the Brunswick County School system. She put her heart and soul into her students and was beloved by many. Barbara Dale was ‘larger than life’ and when you were in her presence, her energy, humor, and vibrant personality were infectious. She never knew a stranger and was a friend to everyone she met. She was well known for her love of animals, especially her dogs, and had a soft spot for all living creatures. A celebration of life will be held at the family home for friends and a family on August 21st from 11-1pm.
