Roehrich, Barbara Warriner, 85, passed away at home in her sleep peacefully and appropriately on Monday, November 1, 2021 – All Saints Day.She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, D. Dortch Warriner; her second husband, Henry Roehrich; her brother, Tommy Jenkins; and her son-in-law, Craig Custer. Barbara is survived by her children Susan Custer, David Warriner, and Julia Boles, all of whom adored their mother; daughter-in-law Cindy Warriner and son-in-law, Martin Boles, who had the world’s best mother-in-law; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Additionally, she was beloved by her second husband’s family, Tom Roehrich, Seus Pierce, and Bob Roehrich, and their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
Barbara grew up in Richmond, attended Hollins College and was graduated from Westhampton College; lived for 20 years in Emporia, and then 40 years at Northview, the family farm in Brunswick County. Barbara lived a life of quiet but profound service - first and foremost to her family and then her community, in particular to Christ Episcopal Church in Emporia and St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Lawrenceville.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 6th at 11 am at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Lawrenceville, VA, followed by an interment service at Northview, 2219 Pleasant Grove Road, Brodnax, VA 23920.
