Calvin Edmonds, age 60, of South Hill, VA passed away June 3, 2019. Calvin was a master printer and the Vice President of Edmonds Printing in Lawrenceville, VA. He was a member of James Square Baptist Church where he was Chairman of the Cemetery Committee and former Chairman of the Deacons. Calvin was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and mechanic who loved motorcycle drag racing. Woodworking was also a passion of his along with music and playing the drums. He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Ferguson Edmonds and his brother and sister-in-law Kerry Wayne and Corrine Edmonds. He is survived by his father, Aubrey B. Edmonds; his wife Sylvia Clary; his brother Donnie Edmonds and wife Darlene; his step-daughter, Samantha Moody (Anthony); his step grandchildren, Harper and Will; his nieces and nephews, Jason Sweitzer, Michelle S. Lea, Danielle E. Bianchinotti and Benjamin Edmonds; his great nieces and nephew, Abby, Madalyn and AJ Sweitzer and Isabella, Gemma and Jordan Bianchinotti; and his faithful, always by his side companion, Peanut, who went to work with him every day. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday at James Square Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service.
