Charles Lindburgh Braswell

Charles Lindburgh Braswell, age 94, a lifelong resident of Gasburg, VA, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Gracie and Chester Braswell, and a sister, Mary Cecil Hartsell.

 He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Belle Wilkinson Jones Braswell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 Mr. Braswell proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Robertson Oil Company after many years of service. A lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, he served as Elder and Deacon for many years before being named Chairman of the Board of Elders and Deacons. In 1998, he was made a Lifetime Elder of the church. To honor his many years of service to the church, a scholarship fund in his name was established in 2006. 

 A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery, Gasburg, VA.
