David L. "Butch" Henshaw, Jr.

David Luther “Butch” Henshaw, Jr., age 57, of Sutherland, VA, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021.He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Huffman Henshaw. Butch lived life to the fullest. He loved going to the beach, hunting, fishing, and racing. He was a member of Ford Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years and was made an Honorary Life Member. Butch is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Henshaw and her mother, Jeimy Henshaw; his father, David L. Henshaw, Sr.; sisters, Jo Ann Johnson and husband, Jesse, and Laura Avery and husband, Mike; a brother, Greg Henshaw and wife, Ashley; nieces and nephews, Melissa Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Forrest Avery, and Madilyn Henshaw, a large extended family and many friends, including his lifelong friend, Todd Hodnett. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at Western Heights Baptist Church followed by interment at the Henshaw Family Cemetery in Church Road, VA. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Heights Baptist Church, 24416 Cox Road, N.
