David Michael "Mike" Barnes, Sr.

David Michael “Mike” Barnes, Sr. age 69, of Lawrenceville, VA passed away January 25, 2018. Mike was the owner of D. M. Barnes Insurance Agency Inc. for 40 years. He is the son of the late Joseph Paul and Louise Barnes. He is preceded in death by his brother, Paul Scott Barnes. He is survived by his wife, Judy Chandler Barnes; his children, Lauren Chandler Jernigan and husband Roland of Franklin, Trey Hardy of Lawrenceville, and David Michael Barnes, Jr. of Washington D.C.; his grandsons, Robert Wyatt Chandler Jernigan and Sidney Mason Hardy; his brother, Joseph Karl Barnes and wife Patsy of Purdy; his nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Max and Buzz. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville with interment at Oakwood Park Cemetery, Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home.
