Elaine Delbridge Lynch

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Elaine Delbridge Lynch, age 87, of Lawrenceville, VA on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy P. Lynch; her mother, Dossie Delbridge; her siblings, Barbara Webb, Nancy Singleton, and Herbert Delbridge, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Wylie P. Lynch (Annette); Donna E. Lynch; Randall W. Lynch (Kimberly); grandchildren, Annie Poythress Wright (Howard), Triston Prince Lynch, and Hannah Pearl Lynch (Carter White); her sister, Marion D. Warren (Columbia, TN), her brother, Jerry W. Delbridge (Emporia, VA), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.

She was a faithful member of Matthews Chapel Methodist Church. Nothing made her happier than cooking meals for her family, playing cards with her siblings, working on a craft project or sitting at a ballfield watching her grandchildren play ball. In her later years, Elaine enjoyed getting on her tractor or lawnmower to cut grass.

Funeral services will be held at Matthews Chapel Methodist Church (1538 Matthews Chapel Road, Lawrenceville, VA 23868) on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Following the service, family and friends will gather in the fellowship hall to celebrate her life and enjoy a little sweetness with a dessert buffet.
