Ernest Wilson Clay, Jr.

Ernest Wilson Clay, Jr., age 84, a resident of Bracey, VA, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023. Born in Alberta, VA, he was the son of the late Ernest Wilson and Lucy Clary Clay. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Alice Gibbs Clay, a son, Ernest W. Clay, III; a grandson, Sean Bland; a brother, Jimmy Clay; and a sister, Ellen Maxey.

Mr. Clay is survived by a daughter, Pamela E. Bland (Craig); a son, Wesley Dwayne Clay; grandchildren, Heather C. Bland, Hunter Wilson Clay, and Austin Davis Clay; great-grandchildren, Lily Donovan, Jacob Donovan, and Rose Bland; brothers, Clarence Clay and Lawrence Clay (Riggie).

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at St. Marks Episcopal Church Cemetery, Cochran, VA.
