Frances “Fran” Ann Sumblin

At 10:35 PM on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the age of 62, Fran’s journey ended here on Earth and she walked through the pearly gates to take her place amongst the Angels.Her loving daughter, Dana Coppola, was her caregiver and has been by her side since this journey began. She was surrounded by family & friends as she entered Heaven. Fran was preceded in death by her father, James (J.D.) Breeden. She is survived by her mother; Frances Pauline Breeden, son; Allen Sumblin and Nichole of Chesterfield, daughter; Dana Coppola and Shawn of Dinwiddie. Her sister; Peggy Livingston and Reeves of Chesterfield and brother; James Breeden of Hopewell. She has 5 grandchildren; Destiny Sumblin, Alexis Sumblin, Trey Sumblin, Keith Cadnum III, Blake Cadnum. She has numerous family, extended family members and friends. Her family would like to thank her radiation oncologist Dr. David Randolph, MD. at Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute for her wonderful care she received since April 2020 from Glioblastoma. Fran retired from Porex Filtration Group in January 2021 with over 30+ years of service and had wonderful coworkers. A very big thank you goes out to Williams Funeral Home for the superb care in helping her family with this transition. Fran’s faith in God remained strong through it all, and served as an example to all of us who witnessed her grace throughout. She will be missed by everyone. At Fran’s request, there will only be a graveside service at Bermuda Memorial Park, 1901 Bermuda Hundred Road, Chester, VA, at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021.
