Franklin Delano Capps

Franklin Delano Capps, age 86, a resident of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

Born in Norlina, NC, he was the son of the late Charlie and Rosa Belch Capps. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Adrienne Capps; brothers, Howard, Jesse, and John Capps; sisters, Velma Perkins, Thelma Brewer, Virginia Shearin, JoAnne Edwards, and Lillian Clary.

Mr. Capps enjoyed being outdoors and working in his yard. He will be remembered most as a loving father and grandfather who cherished times spent with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Capps and Kevin Capps (Laena); grandchildren, Brandon, Adrienne, Grayson, Ethan, Taylor, and Katie; a sister, Doris Colbert; and a brother, Charlie Capps.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Lawrenceville United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
