Harry Cross Corum, age 66, of Dolphin, VA, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021.A lifelong resident of Brunswick County, he was the son of the late Leonard and Elizabeth Martin Corum. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Finch. Harry retired from VDOT after many years of service. While working there, he enjoyed competing in the VDOT Rodeo, on both the local and state levels. His hobbies included hunting and fishing (especially turkey hunting) and playing softball. He was a longtime member of Dolphin Volunteer Fire Department and Ebenezer Community Church, serving both in numerous capacities. Most of all, he loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He is survived by his fiancée, Kathy Diane Spence; a sister, Nancy Gibbs; brothers, Neil Corum and wife, Rebecca, and Wayne Corum and wife, Barbara; nieces, Tammy Edwards, Donna Whitby, and Lois Varner; great-nephews, Jonathan Archer, Joe Lynch, and Kevin Edwards. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory in Lawrenceville, VA followed by interment at Crestview Memorial Park, La Crosse, VA.
