Julia, David and Susan, I send all of you my sincere sympathy and love. Some of my most treasured memories are times spent at your house in Emporia and the farm. Your mom was gracious and kind.

So many great memories of growing up in the neighborhood and times at the beach. It made me sad to see your mother's obituary today. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

To my dear friend whom I have missed ever since she left Brunswick County. Our shared experience that brought us together was Hollins College and because of that, we always had something to say and laugh about. This obituary picture is indeed a wonderful example of her loveliness. If you all remember Shammy, when we could not longer keep her in town., Barbara took our dog under her wing and kept her at the farm. Our sympathy and love to her family that she adored so much.
