Randolph Alan Spence, age 67, of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021.
He was one of four sons born to the late Sherman Randolph and Willie Ann Crowder Spence. Randy retired after more than 40 years of service with the Town of Lawrenceville Water Treatment Department. One of his favorite things to do was taking rides on his motorcycle. He is survived by his brothers, William Dale Spence, Sherman Jeffrey Spence and wife, Mary, and Jesse Dean Spence and wife, Angie; his fiancé, Susie Lucy and her son, Dakoda Lucy; nephews, William Matthew Spence, Daniel Aaron Spence, and Jacob Thomas Spence; his beloved dog, Skylar, as well as a large extended family. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, followed by interment at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Country SPCA, P.O. Box 14, Clarksville, VA 23927.     The Old Brunswick Camp #512 - Sons of Confederate Veterans wishes to express our most sincere condolences to the family of Randy Spence. Randy was a faithful member of our local SCV Camp since joining in January of 2004 and although we didn't see him every month, we did see him quite often and always enjoyed his presence. Randy was truly everyone's friend and he will be sorely missed by all our Compatriots.
    Rest in Peace my dear friend .... until we meet again.

    Dale, Jeff and Dean, please know we are thinking of you. We’re so sorry to hear about Randy. He has always been such a gentle soul. I would run into him at the grocery store and we would have a nice chat. When I visited Aunt Willie Ann, it was always an added bonus when he was home. He will be missed by all of his extended family and I’m sure he has many friends who are sad at this news. Being the oldest living “Spence” cousin, I have known him his entire life. As a young child we used to say he had the prettiest, longest eyelashes!
    Sue, I have met you a couple of times but don’t know you well. I do know that you are a wonderful person and a loving companion to Randy. We all thank you.
