Jack Reagan Leininger

Jack Reagan Leininger, age 87, of La Crosse, VA passed away February 11, 2018. He is the son of the late Earel and Madge Leininger and is preceded in death by his son, Jeff Leininger and his brother, Steve Leininger. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Leininger; his daughter, Julie Leininger Bozarth and husband, Ron; his grandchildren, Jeremy Bozarth and wife, Tara, Jenny Bozarth Sebring and husband, Bryan, Mollie Bozarth, Jonathan Bozarth and wife, Caitlin, and Christopher Bozarth; ten great grandchildren; and his sister, Pat Leininger Nelson and husband, Paul. For many years Jack worked as a life insurance manager, then became tennis pro at Westwood Club, in Richmond, VA, and later, manager at Raintree Swim & Racquet Club, until retiring. Jack loved all sports and had trophies in basketball, baseball, golf and tennis. But tennis was his real love. A Richmond newsman once called him ‘the human backboard’. He also loved fishing on Lake Gaston. He loved his Lord, his wife of 66 years, and his family. His loss will leave a hole in the lives of all who knew him, that can never be filled. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Lake Gaston Christian Life Centre, Ebony, VA. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Gaston Christian Life Center, P.O. Box 31, Ebony, VA 23845.
