James "Jim" Teets

James “Jim” Teets of Lake Gaston, NC passed away on Saturday, December 8th, 2018, at the young age of 65, unexpectedly at the Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Melissa Teets; his children, Shontel Peppers, Chrissy Teets (Michael Marshall), Kenneth Jensen (Sheena Jensen), Kaci Scott (Adam Scott); his beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Hayden, Kenli, Kya and Colt; his great grandchild, Baylee; his mother, Martha Teets; his brother, Robert Teets (Debra Teets); and his sister, Linda Stewart. Jim will also be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Jim was retired from Contractor’s Paving Inc. of Norfolk, VA, originally founded by his father, Clinton Teets. After retirement, Jim and Melissa moved from Virginia Beach, VA to Lake Gaston, NC, where they are currently residing. Jim had a long battle with cancer and WON. He never let the effects of that illness keep him from living life to the fullest. Jim will be remembered by all for his love of life and wonderful sense of humor. The service will take place at Pleasant Hill Christian Church at 175 Ankum Rd, Gasburg, VA 23857 on Sunday, December 16th. Visitation will take place from 1:00 – 2:00, prior to the service, and the celebration of life service begins at 2:00, and there will be a fellowship following in the Family Life Center.
