Jasper Richardson

Jasper Richardson, 85, of Petersburg, VA, passed away on April 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Richardson; his mother, Virginia Richardson; brother, Herbert Richardson; sisters, Arlean Richardson Copeland, Ethel Richardson Copeland, and Lula Richardson.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sadie Lynch Richardson; sons, Eddie “Wayne” Richardson (Regina) and Randy Richardson (Michelle); grandsons, Blake Richardson and Dominick Richardson; granddaughters, Cierra Main (Stephen) and Nakotah Graham (Michael); great-grandson, Tyler Richardson; great-granddaughter, Emberleigh Graham; and future great-granddaughter, Baby Girl Graham.

Jasper was born in Warrenton, NC. He spent his working years as a roofer, believed in hard work, doing right by others, and most importantly, strong family values. He was a respected husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. His greatest joy came from the simple things in life, and the biggest of those was time spent with family. He was a dedicated Christian who leaned on Faith in trying times and Thanked the Lord for all the blessings given to him in his life.

His smile and playful nature will be missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Walthall Baptist Church, 14001 Woods Edge Road, S. Chesterfield, VA 23831.
