Joseph A. Edwards

Joseph A. Edwards, age 87, of Lawrenceville, VA passed away October 20, 2019. He is the son of the late John and Nora May Edwards and is preceded in death by his son, Randy Edwards; his grandson, Matthew Edwards; and his siblings, Magolene Edwards, Marion Connell, Rosa Moore and Calvin, Bryant, Wilton, Jasper and Melvin Edwards. He is survived by his loving wife, Madeline Edwards; his children, Debra Edwards Maitland, Gary Edwards and wife Jan, and Sheryl Darrow and husband Keith; his grandchildren, Angela Crowder (Jody), Chris, Tyller and Landon Edwards, Jacob and Sarah Darrow and Kevin Edwards; his sisters, Shelby Jones, Celia Baird and Rachel Parrott; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Matthews Chapel United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Matthews Chapel United Methodist Church, 8308 Christanna Hwy., Gasburg, VA 23857. Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville will be handling the arrangements.
