Joseph Grady Washburn

Joseph Grady Washburn, age 32, a lifelong resident of Brunswick County, VA, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021.Grady was a graduate of Brunswick Academy, Southside Virginia Community College, and was employed at Boar’s Head Provision Company. He was a talented baseball player and an avid outdoorsman. He loved animals and fishing, but most of all he was crazy about his Ford Mustangs. Grady is survived by his mother, Julie Delatte Washburn and a brother, Evan Shea Owens. He is also survived by his extended Delatte and Washburn families. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory of Lawrenceville, VA with Rev. Alonzo Seward officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park, La Crosse, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilson Chapel Baptist Church, 1445 Old Stage Road, Lawrenceville, VA 23868.
