Joseph Patrick Westfall, Jr., better known as Joe, passed away July 4, 2024. Joe was a longtime resident of Colonial Heights, VA, but was living at the Masonic Home of Virginia.
Born June 4, 1937 in Dinwiddie County, VA, he was the son of the late Joseph P. Westfall, Sr. and Mildred E. Westfall. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan J. Westfall, and his loving wife, Alexa H. Westfall.
Joe is survived by his children, Joseph P. Westfall, III and wife, Stefanie, June W. Jennings and husband, Dewey, and John R. Westfall and wife, Valerie; grandchildren, Joseph Westfall, IV and wife, Ashley, Tucker Westfall and wife, Alison, Patricia Westfall, John Kimbriel, David Kimbriel and wife, Elena, and Valarie Westfall; great-grandchildren, Joseph Westfall, V and Addilyn Westfall; and a cousin, Stanley Westfall.
After graduating from Dinwiddie County High School, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army and served with the 101st Airborne Division. Following his discharge from the Army, he was employed by Lawson Products, Inc. for 35 years, retiring as a Senior District Sales Manager.
Joe was active in the Masonic Fraternity for nearly 60 years. He was a dedicated member of many Masonic Lodges and Masonic organizations, served in many different leadership roles, and received many awards and recognitions for his service.
A Knights Templar funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 in the chapel at the Masonic Home of Virginia, 500 Masonic Lane, Richmond, VA 23223. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, VA 23805.
