Joyce Toth Bennett

Joyce Irene Toth Bennett, age 81, of Alberta, VA, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Joyce was raised in the Varina area, the daughter of the late Roger and Louise Throckmorton Toth. She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Bennett, and a brother, Roger Toth.

Joyce worked alongside her husband, Billy, for many years in their family business, General Iron & Steel Co. She enjoyed working on the farm, flower gardening, and spending time in Key West, FL.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Billy Bennett; her children, Duane Bennett (Mary Carol), Dana Daniel (Timmy); daughter-in-law, Addie Bennett; grandchildren, Clark Bennett (Jessica), D.J. Bennett, and Nicki Lester (Andy); great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Juliann, Ashley, Reba, and A.J.

The family would like to thank Beth, Amy, Lisa, and Rhonda for the care and support they provided.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Bennett Family Cemetery, 2191 Lew Jones Road, Alberta, VA 23821.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
