Katie Bennett Conner

Katie Bennett Conner, age 79, of Lawrenceville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018. She was born July 9, 1938 to the late Robin “Buck” Thomas Bennett and the late Sophie Conner Bennett. She retired from J.P. Stevenson after 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther “Push” Morris Conner. Katie is survived by three sisters, JoAnn Carroll, Edith Mae Bennett, and Ruby Lee Hobbs; one brother, Wayne Bennett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Gasburg, VA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Earl and Mary Clary. Memorial contributions in Katie’s memory may be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church, P.O.
