Kenneth "Kenny" Odell Harrison passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on June 28, 2020 in South Hill, VA due to complications following lung cancer. He was 61 years old.
Kenny was born on October 14, 1958 in Lawrenceville, VA to his parents, Harvey Odell Harrison and Betty Harrison Franklin. He received his education from Brunswick County Public Schools. After his education, he went straight into the work force where his “I can do it all” skills obtained him multiple job opportunities at companies such as Abell Lumber, International Veneer Company, Elberta Box and Crate and more. In his spare time when he wasn’t working or spending time with family, Kenny enjoyed hunting, planting his garden, riding his self-built Harley Davidson motorcycle, building whatever came to his mind, and fixing anything that was broken that he thought needed to be fixed. He could literally fix anything whether it was a piece of equipment, a car, a leaking roof, a broken window, or a broken TV.
Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Odell Harrison and step-father, James Franklin.
Kenny leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Wei Wei of South Hill, VA; his two daughters Jennifer Ward and Amber Harrison of Lawrenceville, VA; his youngest daughter Kendel Harrison of South Hill, VA; his mother, Betty Harrison Franklin of White Plains, VA, three grandchildren, Ezra, Karter and Kaylee of Lawrenceville, VA; one sister Donna Reekes (Tommy) of White Plains, VA; two brothers David Harrison (Tammy) of Lawrenceville, VA and Scott Harrison (John) of Santa Fe, New Mexico; nieces Christy Crane (Kurt), Angie Martin (TJ), Jessica Harrison (Jordan), Debra Harrison and Phyleshia Harrison; multiple great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and a host of other family members and friends.
