Linda Jay Taylor Elliott, 79, of Ebony, Virginia, died Tuesday, February 25, after a long illness, at home peacefully with her family. She is the daughter of the late John Garland and Eunice Taylor of Ebony.
Ms. Elliott is preceded in death by two brothers, John Garland Taylor Jr. of Lawrenceville, Virginia, and Thomas Anderson Taylor (Sandi Taylor) of Freeman, Virginia. She is survived by two daughters, April Elliott of Virginia Beach and Amy Elliott of Ebony; one brother, Franklin D. Taylor (Connie Taylor) of La Crosse, Virginia; two sisters, Barbara Taylor Mumford (Jimmy Mumford) of Ebony and Kathryn Taylor Clary (John Drew Clary) of Lawrenceville; her closest friend, Rose Baird (Grover Baird) of Blackridge, Virginia; as well as four nieces, three grand-nieces and a grand-nephew.
Ms. Elliott was a dedicated employee with Moseley & Nash Well & Septic, LLC, in Blackridge for more than 50 years. She worked with two generations of owners of the business, and considered Andy Nash and her colleagues there to be her treasured second family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 29, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville.
