Lisa Dale Bear

Lisa Dale Bear (nee Jones) passed away on May 17, 2024, in Charles City, VA at the age of 53. She was born on May 28, 1970, in Petersburg, VA, to the late Allen Gordon Jones, Sr. and Bettie Simmons Jones.
 
Lisa will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to those who loved her. Her animals held a special place in her heart, providing her comfort and companionship throughout her life. She enjoyed baking, riding four-wheelers and spending time with family and friends. Lisa attended Matoaca High School and then went on to work in the Produce Department at Ukrops in the early 90's.
 
She is survived by her son, Jon Bear, III and wife Des, daughter MaKala Bear, grandchildren Alexis, Abel, Zane, J.B., and Colton Bear, brother Allen G. Jones, Jr. and wife Dianne, numerous nieces and nephews, a special caregiver, D.J. Grubb, and a devoted companion, Jimmy Porter.
 
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Smyrna Baptist Church, 18971 Carson Road, Dinwiddie, VA 23841, on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Robert Rowland officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crater Community Hospice.
