Margarette Ball “Marty” Payne, age 58, of Victoria, VA, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021.Marty was extremely devoted to her family and loved to cook. She was an employee of the Roanoke River Service Authority. She was preceded in death by her father, William Thomas Ball. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jimmy Payne; children, Mary Beth Thomas, Matthew Moss and wife, Mabel, Chrystal Starke and husband, Christopher, and Ashley Morris and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Violet Moss, Ava Starke, Emily Starke, Owen Starke, James Riley Morris, and Annabelle Morris; her mother, Audrey Ball; and brothers, Tony Ball and wife, Margaret (her best friend), and Kenny Ball and wife Sue. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory of Lawrenceville, VA. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Bethel Church Cemetery, 9783 Boydton Plank Road, Alberta, VA 23821.
