Micah Stephen Thompson

Micah Stephen Thompson, age 47, of Gasburg, VA, was called home to join his heavenly family March 29, 2025. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran.

Micah is survived by his parents, George L. Thompson, and Janelle and Dean Burney; his grandmother, Myrtle Thompson House; siblings, Elizabeth Lawson (Jon) and Bailey Townsend (Dani). He loved and found great joy in his nieces and nephews, Kali, Logan, Noah and Naomi. He is also survived by Smokey, his cat he raised from three weeks old, and Jemma, a sweet stray he took in.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Thompson, Oscar and Nellie Rodriguez, and Robert and Carole Warrington.

His homecoming celebration service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Vibrant Church, 202 W. Main Street, South Hill, VA. The family will greet friends for 30 minutes prior to the service.
