Michael Carl Williams

Michael Carl Williams, age 69, of Church Road, VA, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024. He was born on December 6, 1954 in Petersburg, VA. 

 Mike’s childhood was spent in Loudoun County, VA where he excelled in baseball as a catcher. Upon moving back to Dinwiddie County, Mike worked with various family members to learn the store business. He would eventually become the owner/operator of Church Road Market for many years. 

 Mike enjoyed socializing with everyone he met. He loved to talk about anything and everything, enjoyed cooking, and watching his favorite teams, Washington Redskins and Boston Red Sox.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert B. Williams. He is survived by his mother, Edna Lewis Williams; his children, Tonya Henshaw (Keith) and Todd Williams (Ashley); grandchildren, Ashton and Abby Henshaw, Kaitlyn, Addison, and Grayson Williams; sister, Dianne Williams Cales; brother, Russell H. “Rusty” Williams; and a nephew, Scott Bilyard. 

 A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at Southlawn Memorial Park.
