Norman “N.T.” Thomas Lewis, Jr., age 85, of Richmond, VA passed away October 5, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Gertrude Lewis; his wife, Edith Painter Lewis; his sister Shirley Waterworth; and his brothers, Dewey Lewis and Charles Lewis. He is survived by his children, Earl Lewis and wife Elaine, Joyce Albrecht and Pat Wilson and husband Kenny; his grandchildren, John Rogers, Jr., Neil Wilson, Andy Wilson, Clinton Lewis and Rachel Lewis; four great granddaughters; two sisters, Hattie House and Jean Browder; two brothers, Robert Lewis and Ray Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews. N. T. was born and raised on a tobacco farm in Brunswick County, VA and was the oldest of eight children. He worked briefly for the Seaboard Railroad and soon moved his family to Richmond where he began his career as an Ironworker (Local 28). He later retired from the Boilermakers Union Local 45. He loved hunting and was a member of the Great Creek Hunt Club where he was known as “One Shot Lewis”. He enjoyed time spent with his hunting buddies and sharing the love of hunting and fishing with his grandsons. The family wishes to thank special caregivers, Jasper and Ella and the loving family of Elmcroft of Chesterfield. Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Monday at Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville with interment at Bethel Church Cemetery, Alberta, VA. The family will receive friends Monday at Williams Funeral Home, from 11:00 to 12:00, prior to the service.
