Ola Sue Parrish Wright

Ola Sue Parrish Wright, age 84, of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024.

 Born in Mecklenburg County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Freeman Clyde and Florence Lee Parrish. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Roy Brodnax Wright; a brother, Allen C. Parrish; and a sister, Peggy Parrish Vaughan.

 Mrs. Wright was a longtime member of Lawrenceville United Methodist Church, Lawrenceville Lions Club, and the Red Hat Society. She retired after a long career with First Citizens Bank.

 She is survived by her daughter, Alicia Short (Guy); granddaughters, Kayla Short (Cade) and Jordan Short (Jacob); a great grandson, Elijah James Short; sister-in-law, Patricia Parrish; brother-in-law, Louis Vaughan, as well as three nephews.

 The family would like to thank the following caregivers for their compassionate care: Susan, Donna, Deloris, Theresa, Brenda, Misty, Chase City Health & Rehab, Pineview Assisted Living, and Amedisys Hospice.

 A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA followed by interment at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
