Patricia Anne Beale Lynch

Patricia Anne Beale Lynch, age 82, of Ebony, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 23, 2021. A native of Branchville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lawson Derby and Jessie Elizabeth Edwards Beale. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Lawson Derby Beale, Jr., a sister, Shirley Jean Robertson, and a son-in-law, Phillip W. Cosenza. A longtime member of Prospect United Methodist Church, Mrs. Lynch was a member and Past President of Ebony Homemakers Club, and an election poll worker for many years. She will be remembered most as a devoted wife and mother, and a caregiver to many in her community over the years. Mrs. Lynch is survived by her husband of 62 years, James P. Lynch; daughters, Vanessa L. Godwin and husband, Bryan, and Paula L. Cosenza; grandchildren, Patrick and Adam Godwin, and Anthony Cosenza; brothers, Franklin Beale and wife, Linda, Melvin Beale and wife, Ann, and Gerald “Durwood” Beale; several nieces and nephews, including a devoted nephew, Henry “Hank” Robertson. The family is especially grateful to their friends and neighbors who helped care for Mrs. Lynch during her illness. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Prospect United Methodist Church followed by interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prospect Cemetery Association, P.O.
