Rachel Edwards Parrott

Rachel Edwards Parrott, age 89, of Dolphin, VA, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, M.C. Wright, Ernest Randolph Harrison, and Herbert Lee Parrott, Jr. Her marriages produced an extensive family providing many laughs, smiles, and memories.

 She is survived by her son, Michael Wright and his wife, Debbie of Dolphin, VA; four grandchildren, Gary Ross of Virginia Beach, VA, Christopher Ross of Seattle, WA, Brandon Ross and his wife, Jeannie of Keysville, VA, and Nicole Wright of Dolphin, VA, and five great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Celia Baird of Blackridge, VA and Shelby Jones of Gasburg, VA. Rachel also leaves behind many friends and family in Brunswick and Mecklenburg Counties.

 She was also preceded in death by nine of her siblings.

 Rachel is remembered for her many years as an employee of Sears Roebuck Catalog Store in South Hill, VA, and First Citizens Bank in Lawrenceville.

 As a member of multiple churches and choirs in Brunswick and Mecklenburg Counties, she will always be remembered as a sweet lady with a bright smile, who will be missed by many.

 The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2024 at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 5223 Blackridge Road, La Crosse, VA 23950 followed by interment at Crestview Memorial Park.
