Raymond Sherwood "Woody" Daniel, Jr.

Raymond Sherwood “Woody” Daniel, Jr., age 53, a resident of Alberta, VA, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at his home.He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Sherwood Daniel, Sr. and Ann Hill Daniel. Woody was employed at Iluka Resources for 16 years. He was a life member and Past Chief of Alberta Volunteer Fire Department. He was most proud to be the owner/operator of Sturgeon Creek Farm, the family farm where he was raised and worked alongside his father. Woody is survived by his wife, Mendie Pegram Daniel; daughters, Cali Renee Daniel and Katherine Hill “Kat” Daniel; brother, Andrew Lewis “Andy” Daniel; and niece, Madison Ann Daniel. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory in Lawrenceville, VA.
