Robert Scott Pennell

Robert Scott Pennell, age 55, of Brodnax, VA, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022.Born at Fort Eustis, VA, he was the son of the late James Monroe Pennell and Hazel Willingham Pennell. He was also preceded in death by four of his siblings, Rodney Pennell, Randy Pennell, Paul Teal, and Betty Daugherty. Scott had endless knowledge when it came to cars and motorcycles, and he could fix just about anything. He was a talented auto body mechanic and the owner of Southside Collision in South Hill, VA. He will be remembered as a hard-working man, compassionate and easy going, but most of all as a loving husband, father, Papa, and friend to many. Scott is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sandra Yonker Pennell; a son, Christopher Scott Pennell (Alexandra); a granddaughter, Maelynn Pennell; stepdaughter, Jessica Hawkins; special nieces, Catherine Pennell Davis and Hattie Pennell Richards (Dontrell). He was special Papa to Kaelee, Nick, Alanah, J’niya, Camina, Finnian, Jasmine, Brooklynn, and Donovan. Scott is also survived by three sisters, Brenda Caswell (Bill), Kathy Porcelli (Pete), and Peggy Graves (Jerry). A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory of Lawrenceville, VA, followed by interment at Crestview Memorial Park.
