Sara Blanche Moseley Irby

Sara Blanche Moseley Irby was called to heaven on July 1, 2021. Sara was born on September 14, 1943 to Herbert McKinley Moseley, Sr. and Fannie Bennett Moseley of Brunswick County, VA. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Quentin Irby; daughter, Loretta and her husband, C.D. Tucker of Triplet; son, Roger and his wife, Tammy of Coopersburg, PA; grandchildren, Ashley Rios (Luis) of Lovettsville, VA, Katherine Tucker-Jones (Jeff) of Carson, VA, Tyler Tucker (Heather) of Chesterfield, VA, Kara Irby and Alex Irby both of Coopersburg, PA; great-grandchildren Grayson and Savannah Rios, and Charlotte Tucker; sisters, Virginia Newsome, Lenora Brooks, and Helen Irby. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Everige Moseley, Laura Ann Cannon, and Herbert McKinley Moseley, Jr. Sara was employed at Brunswick Academy for 37 years, where she was a bus driver, cafeteria worker and teachers aid. She was a lifelong faithful servant at Pleasant Hill Christian Church where she served in many capacities. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Christian Church followed by interment at the old church cemetery on the hill.
