Shirley Smith Jones Noffsinger

Shirley Smith Jones Noffsinger of Glen Allen, VA and formerly Jarratt, VA passed away August 2, 2022, after a long-fought battle with cancer.She is survived by her daughters: Patsy Jones Kowal (Matthew); Nancy Jones Crowgey (Guy) and Ann Jones Montgomery (Vin). She was “MeMe” to Andrew, Christopher and Thomas Kowal, Mary Cameron Crowgey and Sutton and Bryn Montgomery. She was the daughter of Cliff and Virginia Smith and sister of Bill, all who predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Thomas Earl Jones in 1983 and later her second husband, Theodore J Noffsinger, Jr. in 2005. Shirley was a dedicated Postmistress for many years, however her greatest happiness was her family. Meme loved nothing more than spoiling her grandkids with her famous homemade rolls, chocolate cakes and fried chicken. She also loved her dog, “Little Mimi” who brought her so much joy and comfort in these last years. The family would also like to thank her good friend, Gloria Howley, who she thought of as a sister ever since she moved to Richmond many years ago.
