Willie Ann Spence

Willie Ann Spence, age 86, a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville, VA and widow of Sherman Randolph “Buster” Spence, died Thursday, March 25, 2021. She was one of five children born to the late Jesse Nathaniel and Artie Hayes Crowder. She loved her dog and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, but will be remembered most as a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Spence is survived by her sons, Randolph Alan Spence, William Dale Spence, Sherman Jeffrey Spence and wife, Mary, and Jesse Dean Spence and wife, Angie; grandchildren, William Matthew Spence, Daniel Aaron Spence, and Jacob Thomas Spence; great-grandchildren, Noah Michael Denton and Morgan Gray Spence; step-grandson, Jonathan Foster; siblings, Otellia Wilkins, Juanita Floyd and husband, Carter, Thomas Crowder and wife, Carolyn, and Louise Mitchell and husband, Ray, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery, Lawrenceville, VA. Services are by Williams Funeral Home & Crematory of Lawrenceville.
