Tommy has been a licensed funeral director since 1997 and purchased Williams Funeral Home in 2020. He is a lifelong resident of Dinwiddie County and a graduate of Dinwiddie High School and John Tyler Community College.
Tommy is active in numerous civic and fraternal organizations, including Ruritan and the Masonic Lodge. He is also a longtime member of Ocran United Methodist Church. He is married to Jenny, who also works at the funeral home, and has two sons, Thomas and Nicholas.
Emory has been a licensed funeral director since 1972. He is a graduate of the Brunswick Senior High School and the Gupton - Jones College of Funeral Service, Atlanta GA. He is licensed in the states of Virginia and North Carolina. In 1982, Emory became the owner of Williams Funeral Home and operated the business until his retirement on April 1, 2020. He remains an active part of the business, assisting with funeral services.
Emory is a US Army veteran and a member of many civic organizations, including the Lions Club and the American Legion. Mr. Samford is also a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Katharine is Emory Samford's daughter, and a graduate of Brunswick Senior High School in Lawrenceville, VA. Katharine also attended the Gupton - Jones College of Funeral Service, Atlanta GA. She has been a licensed funeral director since 2004 when she joined the firm.
Katharine is a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. She is married to Edward Railey, and has two sons, Jackson and Samford Railey.
