The picture of Alvin reminds me of the fun we all had at un Cleveland's "Cabin" in Nags Head. We are fortunate to have the memories of good times at Nags Head, Liberty Church's summer bible school, playing in the yard at all the Abernathy and Lucy homes. Somewhere, I have pictures of us eating something like Brunswick Stew. We all got along so well. I think Alvin and Jane came through my parent's house in Hopewell on their honeymoon. I wish I were closer to hug you all. Please know that I will treasure those childhood memories for the rest of my life. Love to you all, Cheryl.

    Dear Lucy Family,

I am writing to express my condolences. While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one, we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the JOY of having our Heavenly Father return your dear one to you. The Bible offers words of comfort at 2Corintians 1:3, 4, were it says in part, “the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, comforts us in all our trials.” May you all find comfort in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about him and reunite him with you all again.

    My Deepest sympathy
