Shirley Acton Whitby
Shirley Acton Whitby, age 82, of Lawrenceville, VA, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Born in Missouri, she was the youngest of 17 children born to the late William Greenberry and Sarah Lillian Calvin Acton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Kay Whitby. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Willie Clifton Whitby; a son, Tim Whitby; a daughter, April Whitby Williams (Jimmy); grandchildren, J.C. Williams (Brennan), Roger Gerome Craft, II, Robert Andrew Craft (Crystal), and Jessica Lane Whitby, as well as several great-grandchildren, one brother, and one sister. The family is planning a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Rescue Squad, PO Box 386, Gasburg, VA 23857 or Gasburg Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 225, Gasburg, VA 23857.

    I'm trying to let you know how much I will miss Aunt Shirley I will miss being able to talk to her on special occasions and whenever I had something I wanted her to know about I loved her so much we had a long history together growing up.
