Marshall Wade "Peter" Gauldin

Marshall Wade “Peter” Gauldin, age 77, of Warfield, VA, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 13, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee and Lillian Epperson Gauldin; and his siblings, Harold and Donald Gauldin, and Marian Williams. Marshall was a retired employee of DuPont and had a passion for woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy Joyner Gauldin; children, Christopher Wade Gauldin (Douglas James), Alissa Nashwinter (Bill), and Beverly Brown (Matt); grandchildren, Emily Powers (Matt), Mary Lowe (Daniel), Taylor Nashwinter, and Libby Nashwinter; great-granddaughters, Katherine Powers and Evelyn Lowe. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Ebenezer Community Church, 242 Ebenezer Road, Warfield, VA 23889, followed by interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to VCU Health Pauley Heart Center, c/o VCU Health System Office of Development, Box 980020 Richmond, Virginia 23298-0275. Services are by Williams Funeral Home & Crematory of Lawrenceville, VA. Condolences may be expressed at www.williamsfuneralhomeva.com.

    Nancy, what a huge void we all have in our lives now. You two were such a beautiful couple, setting such an example for others. We love you and Marshall. I will miss that big mischievous smile of his. Always making us laugh!

    Marshall was a positive influence in my personal life, always enjoying life with the people around him. That is a lesson I try to follow. My condolences to family and friends.

    Nancy and family, I am so sorry to read this. I only met Marshall one time at our class reunion but I realized what a friend he must have been to those he loved. I know there will be a big adjustment in the Warfield community.

    My heart is broken. He was a wonderful and kind man. He never missed a time to tell me that he loved me. He will definitely be missed!
